The studio’s defining pieces begin with something already rich in meaning: the first sight of Vishu, the Marapachi couple of a South Indian wedding, the carved arch that frames a deity. Udhbava gives each a new place in daily life, shaped by hand and often in old Burma teak.

ABOUT UDHBAVA
Crafted from Memory, Designed for Today
Udhbava is a design-led studio where heritage, craftsmanship, memory and contemporary imagination meet. It is at once a Museum Studio of collectible objects, a founder-led atelier for bespoke work, and a space for cultural conversation and collaboration.
Each piece begins with something that already has a life: century-old Burma teak, a family sari, a ritual, a classical form. Through considered design and skilled handwork, it becomes furniture, a collectible object or a personal space, keeping its character while taking on a new purpose.
What results are objects that hold memory and belong where they are placed, made to be lived with rather than simply displayed.

Udhbava began with a simple belief: the objects around us should carry more than function. They should hold memory, character and meaning.
Every work is an invitation to slow down, notice the details and rediscover beauty in what already exists.
HERITAGE INTERIORS
Spaces Rooted in Story and Tradition
Udhbava’s interiors bring together cultural memory, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary living. A room may be composed around a single heirloom, a set of reclaimed furniture or a family’s own textiles, alongside commissioned pieces, mixed-media wall panels and collectible objects.
Rather than recreating the past, the studio reinterprets it, so each space feels personal and suited to the way you live today. The invitation is simple: bring us what you cherish.
Culture & Gatherings
Craft, Shared in Good Company
Udhbava is also a place to gather. Over the years, the studio has hosted workshops, exhibitions, artist interactions and cultural gatherings that bring people together around craft, storytelling and design.
That spirit continues through The Culture Collective, Fusion Couture and Heritage Cuisine, and through collaborations such as The Meaning Makers with Neurokrish on 25 October 2026.
